So it's been two and a half years since I updated this journal. Crazy, right? The short version of life since then is that I have an 18 month old daughter named Phoenix, got dreadlocks, and life is overall good... at least in all the important ways. Like so many others, our finances are absolutely $h*tty and we are facing the very real risk of foreclosure... but that's beyond the point of this blog.

Finally, and this applies more specifically to this page. I have been receiving quite a few requests for tattoo designs and thought it fair time to post official information about tattoo designs.

I LOVE doing tattoo designs, but my time is too precious and too limited to be able to do them free of charge. As a general rule, black (outline) designs cost $2/sq inch. (A set of wings is approximately 4" x 6" -- 24 sq inches = $48.) The actual design is about twice that, but I only design one wing and then mirror image it in photo editing software to assure it is symmetrical, so you are only charged for the one wing. All other designs are charged by their full size.

If someone would like a design colored, they should expect to pay $3/sq inch. ($72) That all said, I look forward to all future requests and hope to help you acquire the tattoo you've been dreaming of!!
